News: Bedouin Finally Announce Their Debut Australian Tour

Do you like your doofs? Do you have a stadium-sized FOMO to go to Burning Man or have you been lucky enough to have gone before? Do you like the music being pushed by crews like Robot Heart? Well step right up, sit down and listen because one of 2017’s most talked about production/DJ duo’s will finally head to Australia for their debut tour.

Brooklyn duo Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki AKA Bedouin produce the sort of music that resembles their own name- nomadic sounding, Middle Eastern-influenced, and above all, it sounds very mystical. Their music transports you to a desert where the sun is about to disappear before the night sky rises and the final rays of sunshine hide away as the earth says hello to the full magnitude of the moon- the moment that is called ‘gloaming’. This might just be the moment in time where the duo found their inspiration.

It’s sexy, it sucks you in and will make you feel extremely cosmic. And it’s not just us who feel their vibe. Labels like All Day I Dream, Kindisch and the rising NY label, Cityfox are all on board and have signed Bedouin’s music. Their recent d-floor expression on Rebellion (Crosstown Rebels’ new offshoot label) encapsulates their tasty production in all of its organic-sounding glory. ’Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun’ might be an ode to the Pink Floyd track of the same name, but the crisp and hypnotising beats are most definitely 100% Bedouin. It was also a recipient of Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, and if Tongy is feeling it then you know it’s worth checking out. Oh, and on that note too check out their Essential Mix from last year, it’s mint.

Tour Dates:

Sunday 5th November: Return to Rio, Sydney
Tuesday 7th November: Lake People @ Greenfields Albert Park, Melbourne
