Preview: A glimpse at Wonderfruit Festival, Thailand

For our readers who will be around Southeast Asia in December, make sure to check out Thailand’s pioneering transformational festival, Wonderfruit.

Running for its fifth consecutive year, Wonderfruit will take place between the 13th and 16th December in The Fields at Siam Country Club, located two hours out of Bangkok.

This four day celebration is set in a natural environment surrounded by coconut plantations, evergreen forests, pristine lakes…. You get the picture. Its impressive program definitely makes it one for the books.

This festival hopes to become completely sustainable in years to come, and the site will be constructed purely out of locally sourced bamboo, highlighting a zero single-use plastic policy. During the festival, there will also be a number of workshops that you can attend if you are interested in learning about ways to implement sustainability in your life.

Of course, you can also expect a deliciously immaculate lineup of tune selectors. Featuring a list of artists from all over the globe, electronic music lovers should watch out for Mathew Jonson, Nightmares On Wax, Midland, Stavroz and Sven Döhse amongst many other names that have you covered from downtempo to melodic techno.

To get your body warmed up for the hours you’ll spend on the dancefloor, or if you simply want to expand your knowledge of the world, you can participate in one of the many yoga sessions or workshops that will be on offer. Some interesting options are Laughter Yoga, Planetary Sound Alchemy and The Art of Soul Gazing. Foodies will also not be disappointed with the culinary treats provided by some of the best chefs and eateries in the scene of sustainable dining.

This will inevitably be a magical four day experience and we can’t wait to see you there!
