Lil’ Louis, Folamour and Laurence Guy to join forces for Dance Flaws in December

Two underground dance music collectives have popped the big question and said ‘I do’ to joining their magical forces and bringing together a huge night in a few weeks. Join Crown Ruler and Dance Flaws as they unite in holy matrimony on the special dance floor that is Yours&Mine to deliver a ridiculously jaw-dropping line-up of HUGE acts, including The Founding Father of House, Lil’ Louis (USA), Laurence Guy (UK), Folamour (FRA) and DJ Different (SWE), featuring support from some of the local heroes, DJ JNETT, Chris NG, Umut, Sophie McAlister, Mitchell Gee and String Theorem.

Lil’ Louis’s tracks have been pumping the lungs of dance music lovers since back in the 1980s. He’s timeless and he’s internationally renowned for anthems ‘Frequency’, ‘How I Feel,’ ‘From the Mind of Lil’ Louis’ and ‘French Kiss’.

Folamour is regularly played at festivals, local gigs and day parties in and around Melbourne, and we finally get to see him in the flesh for his return for the year. Most known for his album Umami, he’s been delivering fresh tracks ever since and is also known as ‘the Moodymann of Lyon’ back on his own turf.

Laurence Guy has a very special style you can’t find anywhere else. While his smooth, groovy tunes are similar to that of Folamour’s, Hidden Spheres, Project Pablo and even Harvey Sutherland, every tune he releases goes above and beyond the multiple genres he doesn’t quite belong to. With releases on Church, Mule Musiq, Rose Records and Cin Cin, he’s not one to miss when he gets here.

DJ Different comes from a delicate breed of human, aka Swedish house producers — a special kind of species which never disappoint on the decks. He’s featured on labels including Lobster Theremin, Traxx Underground and Mood of the Era.

String Theorem has recently released a huge EP (with Test Pattern) on Clipp.art which has already received praise from the lord The Black Madonna herself, and there’s good reason why. See him back to back with Melbourne’s music meerkat, Mitchell Gee. Renowned for his regular residencies and festival slots in Melbourne and other parts of Aus, he’s guaranteed to bring good vibes, evident in his immense effort in creating huge Melbourne parties with irreplaceable fam vibes – Burn City Disco, Autosea and the increasingly successful Dance Flaws. And not to mention that the boys’ passion for this specific sub-genre of dance has allowed us to gather together on this special night. They’ll be in heaven when they’re running a night featuring artists they regularly play within their own sets in the city.
