Event Preview: Super Flu Back In Australia

Words: Jessica Howard

Feliks Thielemann & Mathias Schwarz are the talented German duo that make up one of dance music’s most unique acts, Super Flu.

The pair are well-known for their hit record Reeves, the uplifting gem Chee Pso Ng, and their hilarious self-promotion of their explorative third studio album Musik 3.

Released in May last year, the album was later accompanied by an outpour of remixed from a number of highly respected artists including Solomun, Deetron, Tim Engelhardt, Oliver Koletzki and more.

As well as writing their own music, recent months have seen the bulk of Super Flu’s time go to the build of their record label, where they’ve been busy signing releases from Bebetta, Upercent, Bog and Remcord.

Now, the talented duo is on its way to Australia for a run of club shows as well as a festival appearance next month.

They’ll appear at Manning Bar in Sydney on Thursday March 29, followed by Adelaide’s Sugar on Friday March 30 and Bloom in Geelong on Saturday March 31.

Sunday April 1 has the duo playing at Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival in New South Wales, before they return to Brown Alley in Melbourne later that night.

In preparation for what will be a number of huge events, you can listen to Super Flu live at House of Yes in New York, here.
