This Saturday the beloved Freedom Time is returning to the Coburg Velodrome after a sold out New Years Day event for its inaugural winter edition, creating a much needed bridge in the gap between festival seasons.
Featuring three big top stages, all lucky ticket bearers are in store for a wicked line-up for a frosty afternoon and night.
Headlining the main stage is dance music luminary DJ Harvey. Known globally for pleasing crowds with his wildly diverse taste, he has played almost every genre and party (including a “Shazam-proof” Boiler Room appearance) during his wild 41 year career.
After his infamous performance at Meredith Music Festival 2010 there is no predicting what his set will hold.
The Wax’o Dystopio stage looks to be the seasonally appropriate sibling of Melbourne summer festival mainstay Wax’o Paradiso.
Showcasing a darker, eerier sound, it will feature regulars Edd Fisher, Simon TK, Pjenné and Millú alongside illustrious producer, DJ and vocalist Kim Ann Foxman.
Foxman is known from Brooklyn to Berlin for her dynamic sound and leading her band, Hercules and Love Affair.
Butter Sessions stage will feature Melbourne’s iconic Sleep D and Albrecht La’Brooy playing live alongside a host of other homegrown heroes.
