Warm up your winter bones by boogying away to DMA’s, Hot Dub Time Machine, and many more. The 1940’s Footscray warehouse, The Wool Store, will be transformed into a synthesis of lights, sound and colour.
The DMA’S trio have been dropping jaws with their signature music for nearly 7 years now with a sound as lucid as the air that blows and the light that shines. Arising from the suburbs of Sydney in 2012, the band continue to appeal to a wide demographic for their mix of alternative and indie sounds.
Their biggest hit, ‘Delete’, was released in 2016 and amassed a huge 35,000+ sales, this followed on from their Triple J Cover of ‘Believe’ which has rallied up over 8 million views on YouTube.
The juxtaposition between lead singer Tommy O’Dell’s edgy street wear, and soft, mesmerising vocals area surprise to all. His distinct sound is not what you’d expect from first glance.
Accompanying DMA’s as headliner, is the variety of sounds from the one and only Hot Dub Time Machine. Hot Dub, aka Tom Loud, takes the crowd on a musical journey back through time, featuring a hit song for ever era.
This time travelling legend has been all over the world, from Coachella to Splendour in the Grass, and many more. The variety in song choices, mashed up into one nostalgic dance party, appeals to a wide audience of all ages.
Loud is originally from Sydney and began performing as Hot Dub in 2011. He DJ’s exclusively with real vinyls and has sold over 200,000 tickets during his DJ career. Loud recently created Kid/Dub which is a time-travelling dance-party for kids.
