Melbourne’s faves Andhim return

Words: Marli Grosskopf

The ultimate German born BFFLs, Andhim, are returning to Australia over five sure-to-sell-out dates. The pair who hail from Cologne have made a seriously good names for themselves, not only internationally, but particularly with Aussie audiences, with their refined production style that lands itself somewhere between house, deep house, techno, disco, and electronic. They coined the term ‘Super-house’ for this dreamy musical amalgamation, and have in turn deemed themselves the poster children for this latest sub-genre of music that seems to be infecting audiences wherever they go.

Since meeting at a turntable competition in 2010, Simon and Tobias have blessed us with over 20 releases on labels such as Get Physical, Monaberry, and Superfriends Records. Their latest release on Superfriends Records, Stay Close To Me featuring vocalist Högni is the perfect example of how elegantly the duo can weave so many varying genres into one beautifully executed piece of work, and is just the thing you need to get amped for their upcoming Aussie tour. Don’t miss out.
