Summer Series will present one of House music’s most revered rising talents this Sunday.
John Butler boasts a plethora of acclaimed releases on prestigious labels including Noir, Cajual, Avotre and MTA; has a residency at Sankeys Ibiza; and has played at a number of key festivals throughout Europe, as well as a number of acclaimed clubs and events including The Warehouse Project in Manchester and Chibuku Liverpool.
Now, his high caliber sound will charm the floor of Revolver Upstairs this Sunday, February 18.
Butler has treated us to an influx of tracks of late, including ‘Be Somebody’ [Defected], ‘Solar Wind’ (a collab with Darius Syrossian) and the banging ‘Can’t Deny’ which was released under his own imprint Origins Rcrds.
His track ‘Call You Back‘ (co-written with another promising young producer Bontan), which reached #1 on Beatport’s overall chart, was also released under Origins, which is a massive feat for a smaller label.
Expectedly, Butler has been landing a bunch of outstanding gigs, many of which include Defected showcases, his own Origins showcases and a packed touring schedule.
Of course, Butler fever also spreads online, with invites as a guest on Defected Radio for more than one occasion, and a feature on a recent episode of the legendary Claude VonStroke’s The Birdhouse.
Butler has received several industry awards, including DJ Mag Award in 2014 and Beatport Award that same year. He has received frequent support from key industry players such as Joris Voorn, Annie Mac, Kerri Chandler and Steve Lawler; and has a gig diary that is well and truly flourishing.
You can catch him at Revolver Upstairs this Sunday. Following tour dates include an appearance at Sugar in Adelaide on Friday February 23; Bloom in Geelong ON February 24 and Electric Rush in Queenstown on February 25.
